Your first generation
ClipHeat cuts your long videos into vertical 9:16 clips, subtitled and cropped onto whoever is speaking. Here is how to use it, end to end.
1. Open the “Generate” screen
Section titled “1. Open the “Generate” screen”In the sidebar: Create → Generate. That is where a generation starts.
2. Give it a source
Section titled “2. Give it a source”Three tabs:
- One link — YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Odysee, or a file shared on Google Drive or Dropbox;
- Several links — up to twenty, one per line, on the Creator and Studio plans, see Generating in batches;
- A file — a video uploaded from your computer.
ClipHeat then reads the source’s duration, without downloading anything. That duration sets the price.
See Accepted sources.
3. Choose the portion
Section titled “3. Choose the portion”The settings appear under the source as soon as it is recognised. The first one, Part to analyse, bounds what goes to analysis: on a three-hour live, you only pay for the twenty minutes you care about. On a YouTube video with enough views, the rewatch curve shows where your audience came back.
The number of clips depends on what the analysis finds, within your plan’s limit (2 per video on Free, 5 on Creator, no cap on Studio). The price depends only on the duration submitted, never on the number of clips.
See The portion and the number of clips.
4. Adjust, if you want to
Section titled “4. Adjust, if you want to”Every setting has a default: you can launch without touching any of them. You will find the spoken language, guidance for the analysis, subtitles, average clip length, brand template and reframing.
See Settings.
5. Accept the amount
Section titled “5. Accept the amount”The Start the generation button shows the cost in credits. It opens Confirm this run, which sums up the portion kept and what it costs; nothing is charged before Confirm and run. Until the amount is known, the button stays disabled.
The one exception: monitoring a live stream, which has no duration until the stream ends.
6. Let it run
Section titled “6. Let it run”The generation is followed from its card, in Projects. You can close the page: processing carries on without you. Clips are delivered together, at the end.
One generation runs at a time per account; the next ones wait their turn (twenty at most).
And then
Section titled “And then”Each clip opens in the editor: bounds, subtitles, hook, reframing. Edits are not charged again and save automatically. The editor is reserved for the Creator and Studio plans: on Free, a clip is watched and downloaded as it was generated.
Then you download your clips, or you publish them.
Answers come from these pages only. If they do not cover it, you will be told.
