Creating an account
The app is at clipheat.app/app/. The account is free and does not ask for a card.
Two ways to sign up
Section titled “Two ways to sign up”With an address and a password
Section titled “With an address and a password”Enter a valid email address and a password. Pick an address you actually read: that is where the confirmation link, our replies and your invoices arrive.
With Google
Section titled “With Google”The Continue with Google button opens the usual sign-in window. ClipHeat receives your address, your name and your profile picture; it asks for no access to your YouTube videos, your calendar or your files.
What the free account includes
Section titled “What the free account includes”| Free | |
|---|---|
| Credits | 30 per month, once the address is confirmed |
| Clips per video | 2 at most |
| Watermark on clips | yes |
| Rewatch curve, subtitles, brand template | yes |
| Clip editor (edits) | no — Creator and Studio plans |
| Publishing to TikTok / Instagram / YouTube | no |
| Live stream monitoring, API | no |
One credit is worth one minute of submitted video: thirty credits cover one or two whole videos a month, or several chosen portions. See Credits, and Plans for the paid plans.
Confirm your address
Section titled “Confirm your address”A confirmation email goes out when you sign up. Until the address is confirmed, the free account shows zero credits. Click the link in the message: your 30 credits appear.
Until then, a Confirm your address banner sits at the top of the app, with a Send the link again button. The link is valid for seven days. Nothing received? Check your spam folder.
Signing in afterwards
Section titled “Signing in afterwards”The session stays open for two weeks on the same browser. If it expires, sign in again: your generations are kept on your account.
Forgotten password
Section titled “Forgotten password”On the sign-in screen, Forgot your password? under the password field. Enter the account’s address: a link goes to your inbox. It is valid for one hour and works only once. It opens a screen where you choose the new password (at least twelve characters).
Once the password is changed, all your open sessions are closed, on every device: sign in again with the new one.
The screen shows the same message whether the address has an account or not. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then the address you typed. An account created with Google receives no link: the email reminds you to sign in with Continue with Google.
Changing your password
Section titled “Changing your password”Under Settings → Security → Password. The current password is required. If you sign in with Google, the password is changed from your Google account. See Account settings.
