Settings
As soon as a source is set on the Generate screen, the settings appear below it. Every one has a default value: you can launch without touching them.
Your brand template can also carry a default language, guidance and reframing. What you set on the Generate screen wins, for this generation only.
Spoken language
Section titled “Spoken language”The video’s language, not the interface’s. By default, Automatic detection, reliable as soon as someone speaks clearly.
Choose it explicitly if a strong accent misleads the detection, or if the video opens on music or a title sequence. The Several languages mixed entry is for videos that switch from one language to another.
Languages offered: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi.
Analysis guidance
Section titled “Analysis guidance”An optional free text field, up to 5,000 characters, to steer the choice of moments. Write what you are looking for, as you would to a person:
- “keep only the passages where he explains a concept, not the anecdotes”;
- “favour the funny moments”;
- “ignore the intro and the end credits”;
- “look for audience questions and the answers”.
Guidance steers the analysis, it does not decide in its place. For clip length, use the Average clip length setting instead.
Subtitles
Section titled “Subtitles”Burned into the clips, styled by your brand template. Turn them off for a video that does not need them (a music excerpt, for example): the setting only applies to this generation.
Average clip length
Section titled “Average clip length”Off by default: the analysis aims for one minute per clip. When turned on, a slider offers a target from 15 to 180 seconds (60 seconds to start with).
It is a target, not a rule: the analysis aims for this length, but keeps a slightly longer or shorter moment if that is where its story ends.
The Short clips (10 to 20 s) button, under the slider, asks for very short clips: it is the only setting that goes below 15 seconds. Keep it for moments that fit in one line: a comeback, a reaction, a punchline.
Number of clips
Section titled “Number of clips”Off by default: your plan decides (2 clips per video on the free plan, 5 on Creator, no limit on Studio). When turned on, a list offers a number at most, within your plan’s limit. The analysis returns fewer if it finds fewer good moments.
The price does not change: it depends on the length analysed, not on the number of clips. To pay less, analyse a portion of the video.
Brand template
Section titled “Brand template”The styling applied to every clip: subtitle style, hook, logo, banner, colour grading. Your default template is preselected. At the end of the list, None — undressed clips: nothing is burned in.
The button next to the list opens the templates screen. See Brand templates.
Reframing
Section titled “Reframing”How the image is framed vertically. See Cropping.
File in
Section titled “File in”It appears as soon as the video is given (link pasted, file chosen or batch filled), just above the launch button: the collection to file the project in. No collection by default. New collection… creates one on the spot and selects it. For a batch, every video of the batch is filed in the chosen collection.
The project is filed as soon as the generation is recorded, even before its first clips. If the collection was deleted in the meantime, nothing is started and the screen says so: pick another one, or none.
The output format
Section titled “The output format”The format is not chosen on the Generate screen: it is part of the brand template, in the Clip layout section, Format field.
| Format | What for |
|---|---|
| Vertical 9:16 | TikTok, Reels, Shorts. The default format. |
| Square 1:1 | Instagram and LinkedIn feeds. |
| Landscape 16:9 | Regular YouTube — the original frame, simply cut. |
The Square and Landscape formats are included in the Creator and Studio plans.
What is not set here

What changes the price is decided before launch; everything else can be adjusted afterwards, clip by clip, in the editor.
