Generating in batches

The Links, one per line tab on the The source card accepts up to twenty links in one go. Each link becomes a separate generation.

  1. Paste your links, one per line. Blank lines and duplicates are set aside; an invalid line is flagged with its reason, without blocking the others. Past twenty, the extra links do not go: run them in a second batch.
  2. ClipHeat reads each video’s duration and shows the cost line by line, then the total, before you start.
  3. Click Start the generation, once for the whole batch.

The settings — language, instructions, format, cropping, number of clips — apply to every video in the batch. Two different treatments need two batches.

If a video’s duration cannot be read, its line says so and the total is not shown: the known lines stay visible, but an incomplete sum would be misleading. Remove or fix the line in question, and the total comes back.

A batch goes through the same queue as everything else: one generation runs at a time, three wait. On an idle account, a batch therefore starts four generations at most; fewer if a generation is already running.

The screen tells you how many started out of how many requested. Videos that did not start cost nothing: run them again when a slot frees up.

The generations that started are processed one after another, in the order you pasted the links. Each appears in Projects with its own clips.

Each video is charged like a single generation: one minute of video is worth one credit, whatever the number of clips produced. See Credits.

Batches are included in the Creator and Studio plans. See Plans.
