The portion and the number of clips

By default, the whole video is analysed. The Part to analyse selector lets you submit only one passage.

You pay for the portion you submit, not for the video. On a three-hour live where only the last half hour interests you, you pay for thirty minutes, not a hundred and eighty. The saving appears next to the selector’s title (for example “−150 credits”).

To choose the portion:

  • drag the two handles;
  • or type the bounds in the Start and End fields, as mm:ss;
  • follow the rewatch curve when the video comes from YouTube and has enough views: its peaks show where your audience came back. See The rewatch curve.

The Analyse all of it button goes back to the whole video.

Without a curve, the track shows a grey wave that is only decoration: it is the same for every video and says nothing about yours.

The number of clips: what does not change the price

Section titled “The number of clips: what does not change the price”

You do not choose the number of clips: the analysis returns the moments it found, within what your plan allows.

  • A rich video will give as many as your plan allows.
  • A quiet video will give fewer, without costing less: the price follows the submitted duration.
  • A video that only holds three good moments does not produce ten mediocre clips: the best-scored ones are kept.
Plan Clips per video
Free 2 at most
Creator 5 at most
Studio no plan limit

Whatever the plan, a generation returns twenty clips at most.

When the analysis found more moments than your plan delivers, the tracking screen says so: “N more moments were found in this video. Your plan delivers 5.”

See the pricing page to compare plans.

The cost in credits is shown on the button: “Start the generation — N credits”. It follows the chosen portion. While it is being worked out, the button stays disabled.

If the source’s duration could not be read, no amount can be announced in advance: the whole video is analysed, and the charge is made at the end, on what was actually processed.

See Credits for how the count works.
