How long files are kept

Your clips are kept for seven days after their generation, then deleted automatically.

After the seven days, the generation and everything it produced:

  • the clips, in every format produced;
  • the source video, downloaded or uploaded;
  • the working files.
  • The project, in your list: its thumbnail, title and date, marked “Expired”. It no longer opens, but you keep a record of what you generated. The … menu removes it from the list.
  • Your Credit log: what was used, and when.
  • Your brand templates, your saved settings and your connected accounts.
  • The clips you published: they are on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, and deletion in ClipHeat does not touch them.

Download what you want to keep. Downloading is free and unlimited.

Every project card shows its deadline — for example “Expires in 3 days”. Under 48 hours, it turns orange: that is the moment to download whatever you care about.

Kept files count towards your plan’s storage (1 GB, 20 GB or 50 GB depending on the plan). The source video counts too, whether it came from a link or an upload: it stays for the seven days so that a clip can be extended from the original video. An hour of video often weighs several hundred megabytes. If it fills up before the seven days are over, delete a generation from Projects to free the space at once. See Plans.
