Brand templates
A brand template is a complete styling saved under a name. You keep several of them, one is the default, and you choose which one applies before a launch.
The Brand template screen, in the Create group of the navigation.
What a template holds
Section titled “What a template holds”| Section | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Clip layout | Default reframing, output format, and Slow zoom: a very slow push-in (5%) over the whole clip, on by default. Turn it off for a perfectly still frame. With None reframing: the zoom and the bar colour. |
| Burnt-in subtitles | On or off, word by word or whole sentence, and their style (Customise the style). |
| Hook style | Position and styling of the text burned in at the top of the clip. |
| Grading | None, Neutral, Warm, Cool, Vivid. |
| Logo | Burned in or not, its size, its corner. |
| Attribution banner | Platform and handle of the original channel, height. |
| Post text | Brand hashtags, closing text and link to the original video, added to every suggested caption. Empty by default. See Publishing. |
| Language and guidance | The language spoken in your videos, guidance for choosing moments, and your brand vocabulary: the proper nouns (guests, brands, handles) the transcript should hear and spell right. |
The Preview column shows a vertical clip with the styling applied, computed with the same values as the render. When a value cannot be guaranteed — an unavailable font, for instance —, the screen flags it.
Elements are placed right in the preview, as in the editor: drag the Subtitles, Hook and Banner handles up or down, and Logo near a corner, where it snaps. On the keyboard, the arrows do the same (Shift to go faster). The panel settings follow. If the ClipHeat watermark is on — or required by the free plan —, the preview shows it, animated.
The hook style sets its styling, not its text: the text belongs to each clip, suggested by the analysis or written in the editor.
Automatic styling
Section titled “Automatic styling”This option, in the Hook style section, is on by default: your clips arrive already styled — hook, subtitles, logo, banner, grading, everything switched on in the template. Turn it off to get raw clips and compose them yourself in the editor.
Several templates, one default
Section titled “Several templates, one default”An agency working for three brands keeps three templates; someone publishing on two channels keeps two.
The template menu lets you create a New template, make it the Default or delete it. Save the template keeps your changes.
On the Generate screen, the Brand template list offers your templates, the default one preselected, and last None — undressed clips: no logo, no banner, no subtitle style.
A live-stream watch has its own template too: picked at the start, it can be changed during the stream for the upcoming segments. See A watch’s brand template.
The logo
Section titled “The logo”A PNG image, preferably with a transparent background, 10 MB at most. Upload it from the Logo section (Upload a PNG, then Replace the PNG). The file belongs to your account: all your templates use it, and each one decides whether to burn it in, with its size and corner.
The attribution banner
Section titled “The attribution banner”A strip at the bottom of the clip showing where the video comes from: the platform’s logo and the channel’s handle. It credits a source that is not yours, or recalls your own.
Settings: platform, handle (without the @ — a pasted channel URL is cleaned up), height between 60 and 87 % of the frame, to stay above the apps’ playback controls. Without a handle, the banner is not burned in.
The ClipHeat watermark
Section titled “The ClipHeat watermark”In the Logo tab, Animated ClipHeat watermark puts a pill at the top left of every clip: the logo and “ClipHeat”, then the clipheat.app address sliding in, looping every eight seconds.
- Creator and Studio: your choice, off by default. Once on, it applies to clips composed afterwards — generation, edits, publishing, live watches.
- Free: always there. The switch is on and locked; See plans leads to the plans that let you remove it.
Intro and outro
Section titled “Intro and outro”A few seconds of your own before and after every clip: an animated logo, a “subscribe”. In the template’s Logo section, add one video for the intro and one for the outro — MP4, MOV or WebM, between half a second and 10 seconds, 50 MB at most. They are fitted to the clip’s format (bars if needed).
Turn on Intro on every generated clip or Outro on every generated clip to add them automatically; in the editor, they can also be turned on clip by clip. Reserved for the Creator and Studio plans; a video already added stays visible and can be removed on every plan.
Who it is open to
Section titled “Who it is open to”Every plan, free included. On the free plan, the ClipHeat watermark stays alongside your styling; paid plans deliver clips without a watermark, unless you turn it on (see The ClipHeat watermark).
